Google Workspace support in London

London Google Workspace support means a named engineer on UK business hours who handles admin console work, user issues, security configuration and vendor escalation. Response targets are contractual at 4 hours on standard and 1 hour on priority, and pricing runs from £10 per seat per month, so support cost scales with headcount rather than incident volume.

What the desk actually handles

In volume terms, the work is account lifecycle and permissions: new starters, leavers, shared drive access, group membership, delegated mailboxes, calendar resources and mobile device enrolment. Underneath that sits a steadier flow of mail delivery investigations, spam and phishing triage, and the occasional genuine incident.

The strategic work sits alongside it: quarterly security posture review, licence position review before renewal, and a standing recommendation list that we work through with your internal owner. Support agreements that only handle tickets leave the tenant slowly degrading between projects.

  • Starters, leavers and role changes, executed against your runbook
  • Shared drive and group permission administration
  • Mail delivery and authentication investigations
  • Phishing triage, with device and account containment
  • Quarterly posture review and licence position check

Why London hours matter for a cloud platform

Workspace itself does not care where support sits. Your staff do. A mail delivery problem at 09:15 needs somebody who is awake, who understands that your finance team is mid-month-end, and who can call the person concerned rather than exchanging emails across a nine-hour offset.

The other reason is escalation. Google's own support paths are effective when driven correctly, and driving them correctly means having someone who can hold a case open during the same working day rather than losing a full cycle to time zones.

Pricing that does not punish you for asking

Per-seat monthly pricing has one important property: nobody hesitates to raise a ticket because it costs money. Time-and-materials support produces the opposite behaviour, where small problems go unreported until they are large problems, and the security ones are exactly the ones people sit on.

From £9 per seat per month at a fifteen-seat minimum, with a rolling monthly contract and thirty days' notice. There is no annual lock-in, because a support relationship that needs a contract to survive is not one worth keeping.

How we onboard a new tenant

The first two weeks are discovery, not tickets. We document the tenant as it is, produce a findings list, agree the runbook for routine tasks, and establish who inside your organisation can authorise access changes. That authorisation matrix prevents the most common failure of outsourced support, which is an engineer making a change because somebody asked confidently.

From week three the desk runs normally, with a review at thirty days to correct anything about response routing or authorisation that is not working in practice.

What we see that others don't say

The majority of tickets our London desk receives are not faults at all: they are access and permission requests that only need an administrator, which is why a support agreement priced per seat is usually cheaper than employing the fraction of an administrator those requests actually consume.

What this doesn't cover

  • This is Workspace support, not general IT support. Laptop hardware, printers, networking and non-Google applications sit outside the agreement.
  • We do not provide 24/7 cover under the standard agreement. Out-of-hours cover is available and priced separately.
  • We do not take over your Google billing relationship unless you ask. Support and licensing are separable.
  • We do not act without an authorised requester. Access changes requested by someone outside the authorisation matrix are escalated, not executed.

Questions we get asked

How much does Google Workspace support cost in London?
From £9 per seat per month with a fifteen-seat minimum, on a rolling monthly contract. On-site visits across Greater London are charged separately when they are genuinely needed.
What response time do you commit to?
One hour for critical issues such as mail delivery failure or a suspected account compromise, and four working hours for standard requests, both within Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00 GMT.
Do we still need Google's own support?
Your Google support entitlement remains, and we use it. Most cases never need it, but when a case genuinely belongs with Google we raise and drive it rather than handing you a case number.
Can you support us if we are outside London?
Yes. The desk covers the whole UK remotely on the same terms; only the on-site option is geographically limited to Greater London and the immediate surrounding area.
